Jomtien Beach Sunset with Music, Vesak Weekend 2012

Author: The further south you go the more local Thai’s you’ll meet. About half way down Jomtien Beach most of the tourists are gone and it’s just Thai families and people who have finished a day’s work.
These photos are from an extended weekend, last Saturday, because Monday was Vesak. While Vesak is celebrated on different dates around Asia this year was special as it is said that Buddha achieved Enlightenment 2600 years ago.

Ko Lan or Koh Larn
A lot of visitors to Pattaya take a trip out to one of the offshore islands. Koh Larn is the biggest and cost about $10 for a day return. Here are some photos of the supply boats filling up with goods and ice from Pattaya on a sunny afternoon in late January.
